History

Located in the north of the country at the heart of the Caribbean, the department of Córdoba was formerly inhabited by the Zenú people. The cacao plantations are located on a fertile land, in a river basin at the foot of a natural park, refuge of biodiversity and a rich ecosystem. This cacao was originally produced by ranger families as an alternative to illicit crops, armed conflict and deforestation in the area. This cooperative aims at improving the living standards of their community thanks to cacao. An award-winning cacao.
