History

The department of Caquetá, also known as the « Golden Door to the Amazon », is located in the Southwest of the country. This land is located at the foot of the Cordillera Central mountain range in the Amazonian piedmont and has an extraordinary fauna and flora. It is covered with jungles, plains and bordered by large and abundant rivers. This sustainable and organic cacao is produced by a cooperative mainly made up of women. Their mission consists in protecting the rainforest thanks to cocoa farming and offering a substitution alternative to illegal crops. An award-winning cacao.
